INITIAL BRIEF AND FIRST CONCEPTS
As a part of my placement we were given the opportunity to work on with some graphic design and branding for an internal BBC programme called the "Brand Ambassadors"

It is a group outreach and brand development programme, for example, setting up stalls at career conventions and different fact finding services.

INITIAL THOUGHTS/RESEACH

For research, I looked at some 3D Motion Graphic ideas, different examples of some graphic deign the BBC has used for other projects, and different examples of Japanese Graphic Design from the 80s. I really like the vibrancy and mood which they have.
Coming from a 3D background, my first thoughts where to work out some basic layout options and moods with Maya, focusing on a strong focal point and vibrant colour schemes.
FIRST RENDERS

PHOTOSHOP COMPOSITES

FEEDBACK
The presentation went well! They liked the idea of using 3D renders for graphics. For rendering and composition. From their reactions from some of the other groups, they liked the idea of using a small characters, which would be cool to incorporate into some future renders. Tag lines would also be cool to develop.

The main thing they stressed was to now take this to a more cohesive idea. They didn't like the way that the isometric idea was akin to the Election graphic design, so we want to keep away from that.
SECOND PRESENTATION
For the second presentation, the first thing I did was play around with different lighting effects and ways I could play around with the text. The second set of renders have a short animation with it, and I was going for more of a light hearted mood.

FINALISED DESIGN
Developing in with different composition and colour schemes, I honed my idea down to these final renders below. I wanted to go with the idea of a circuit board and connectivity. I think I achieved this pretty well in the final renders at the bottom.

I didnt like these designs that much because they felt too imposing and communistic. But I do like the colours and the tone, so in the others below I adjusted by adding text and altering camera angles.

They really liked the design, however did not get what the theme was until I pointed out to them what it was. So for next week, we need to establish more of a consolidated logo, and make the circuit board idea a bit clearer. It could be really interesting combing Juans Houdini experimentation with this idea.
