INITIAL DEVELOPMENT
We were fairly quick to develop an idea. We settled on the space theme fairly quickly, we wanted to make sure that we were able to stay interested and produce work which is of a good quality.
I had a good bit of research already into the theme, here is some of the stuff we were thinking of. We really liked the style of some of the more line orintated parts, so we knew from then that we would want to use a toon shader.

PRODUCTION/WORK LIST
Featured Showcase
After some concept art of the station had been put together, I then went about to arrange a spreadsheet depicting what everyone would be tasked with.

First Story Board
After disusing how we were going to show our environment, we came up with the idea that we could have a drone fly around the wreckage. After discussing with the group, I decided to make a storyboard to direct the narrative.

THE DRONE - INITAL DEVELOPMENT

Whenever we had divided everything up, I decided that I would go about making a block out of the drone.
When designing it, I envisioned something along the likes of a sea creature such as a shark or a dolphin mixed with the mechanical side of a crossbow. I really liked the idea of basing my designs of sea creatures, so here is some research I did around that.
MODELLING
As I started to warm up and develop my skills a bit more, I found the sci-fi theme really easy to work with. Things do not necessarily need to work in a realistic way to be plausible.
Here is the drone at various stages.

Toon shader
The decision to use the aitoon shader was great for stylising and adding atmosphere. There are loads of possibilities for some great renders, especially when playing around with the mix-shader nodess.
